I WRITE on behalf of members of the Risley Independent Methodist Church to thank the police for the excellent planning and organisation of Padgate Walking Day on Saturday, June 26.
The manner in which all the officers carried out their duties was outstanding. They were so helpful, courteous and pleasant and, together with the beautiful weather, made this day so enjoyable, especially for the children.
The general conduct of the police officers reflected great credit on what is still the finest police service in the world, despite all the criticisms.
