CAMPAIGNERS for a second entrance and exit to the Header House site at RAF Burtonwood have won their fight.
Residents wanted another access point to protect them from heavy goods and plant traffic during the construction of the urban village. Developers have assured MP Helen Southworth that they will build a roundabout on to Whittle Avenue before any work begins. She said: "The developers have assured me that subject to land sales and planning permission construction of a new roundabout on to Whittle Avenue, below Kingwood will go ahead in 2000 to 2001. I am delighted that the developers have given this commitment which will protect the community and ensure a safer environment for residents."
