IN this age of environmental awareness you would think that the pedestrian would be able to get about in relative safety.
As I walked along Castle at about 8.45am this week - I was nearly run over by a cyclist on the pavement, and, as I crossed a side road, was nearly hit by a car turning right.
Rules of the road seem to have been forgotten in the quest to get kids to school on time. Pedestrians have RIGHT OF WAY if they are already crossing and a car wants to turn right.
CONCERNED PEDESTRIAN
