THE husband of murdered housewife Julia Webb has revealed how much he's missed her in the year since her death.

John Webb was unable to fight back tears as he described what the 52-year-old meant to her family.

"She was kind, caring, bubbly and outgoing," he said. "She thought the world of her family, especially her father. She was a housewife, a nursemaid, a mother and a wife. She was just an exceptional woman."

On the eve of the first anniversary of his wife's brutal killing, Mr Webb pleaded for information which could provide a vital breakthrough in Cheshire's biggest murder hunt.

"I'm not appealing to the killer," said the 58-year-old. "I don't think a person like that could have a conscience.

"I'd like to appeal to anyone who knows anything about the incident. I'd like to ask them to come forward with any little scrap of information. They might not think it's important, but it will be important to the police. Please, please give them the chance to put the family out of their misery."
