A WORKER was seriously injured in an accident at the Tibbett & Britten warehouse for DIY giant B&Q this week.
Health and safety experts are investigating how 28-year-old Mark Harmer was hurt while at work in Runcorn's Whitehouse industrial estate.
It is understood he sustained head injuries after being hit by an item which fell off a pallet.
The accident is believed to have happened while a fork lift truck driver was manoeuvring in the warehouse.
The injured man is still in hospital.
A spokesman for Halton Council's environmental health department said:"We visited the company last week and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing."
The company refused to make any comment.
