GOLFING heroes are set to swing into action - all in the name of peace.
Celebrity players and weekend enthusiasts are set to descend on Drivetime for a family fun day and evening dinner dance in aid of the Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball Trust.
TV legend Sue Johnston and radio star Susie Mathis are backing the Fun Day, which takes place on Sunday, August 15 from 12 - 4pm.
There will be free golf tuition for children and an opportunity to win junior golf clubs.
A barbecue, face painting for youngsters, balloon modelling, a magician and raffles will also feature at the Children for Peace event, for which admission is free. Tickets for the evening charity dinner dance, cabaret, raffle, auction and disco are priced at £30 and are available by calling organisers on 0161 928 4706.
