THE Warrington based BE Group has won two major awards.

The group is made up of three practices, Business Environments, BE Planning and The Environment Partnership (TEP).

Business Environments won an award, with Richard Ellis St Quintin, for the planning and marketing of Birchwood Technology Park, Warrington, which was named Deal of the Year at the North West's first property awards.

The park is one of the UK's most profitable business locations.

The second award, Project of the Year, was given to TEP by the Association of Project Management for work on the reclamation of closed waste tips for the Mersey Forest and Red Rose Forest.

TEP's project manager Francis Hesketh and the two community forests are testing the idea that more than a million new trees could transform old landfill sites into woodland, open to the public.
