MOORE and Daresbury clinched their eighth win from nine matches in their last Cheshire Association League tussle with the club's second team.

Topping and Jones made early inroads into Seconds' batting, with Topping taking the crucial wicket of Rogers, caught by Holme at first slip.

With Wilce and Scott also out, Firsts were in the ascendancy but Warren and Stokes went on to score 50s, and put on over 100 runs as Rogers declared on 157-8.

The reply got off to a poor start as Stockton was run out with the score at 1-1. Woods and Holme took the score to 40, before Woods was caught behind by Rogers.

Howard didn't last long, Holme had to retire and Pepper also lost his wicket. But Roylance was batting superbly and he, with Kemp and Horan, took the score to 158.
