DESPITE John Stevenson winning in 15 darts Hop Pole were unable to win at Gas Social A in the Inn Partnership Summer Darts League on Monday night.

Tetley had a hard fought win over Royal Oak Branch with an 11 darter from George Crockett the best return and a 15-dart drawn leg between Ron Cooke and Dave Carey the highlight.

Peter Riley inspired King and Queen to victory with a 17-darter against Jolly Tanner and Kieron Stringer hit a 16 as Seven Woods held Chapel House to a draw.

Steve Monks' 17 was the best for Gas Social B as they won at St. Benedicts and a tremendous battle saw Dog and Partridge win at Butchers Arms.

Dog were the better side and Tim Scott, 14 and Larry Whittles, 16, were their pick but Adrian Timmins, with 14, ensured Butchers were well represented.

The match won by Adelphi at Manx Arms had both players in every leg on double and bull, making it fortunate that Adelphi had the arrows.

Ian Wharton hit an 11 darter for Causeway as they maintained their improved form at Richmonds. Mike Ford hit 15 as Penketh Conservatives kept up their title hunt with a good home win over Marquis.
