WARRINGTON'S Mark Kinch kept his World Championship preparation on target with a comfortable win at the UK Hill Running Championships.
Watched by around 3,000 running fans, Kinch completed the three-mile course in Alva, Scotland, in 20mins 58secs.
The win marked his third consecutive success at the event and made him the first person to ever achieve the feat.
"I'm really pleased because it was quite a tough race and in front of one of the biggest crowds I have run before.
"Halfway up the hill I was back in fifth place but I worked hard and was out in front by the summit."
