RYLANDS A continued to lead Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Association Friday League Section A after a 10-4 success against Alford A.

Brian Lawton's 21-3 was the best card and Norman Sutton won 21-8 for Alford.

Second placed King and Queen A's 13-1 win over Farmers A included a 21-4 card from Brian Taylor.

Grange A remained third after Peter Rowles triumphed 21-4 in a 10-4 success against Pierpoints A. Tony Wightman Jnr took the visitors' sweep 21-7.

A 21-4 Mike Welsby win led Touchers A to an 11-3 victory over GESM A. Keith Ashcroft replied 21-9.

Section B leaders Tetley D were beaten 11-3 at Red Lion with Ron Jones, 21-9 and Alan Warburton, 21-10, the best winners. Ged Smith responded with 21-10.

Bulls Head B moved into second spot following a 12-2 win over Touchers B. A Prescott's 21-10 card took the sweep.

Richmonds A slipped to third after an 11-3 defeat at Monks Hall. Chris Welsby's 21-11 win was the best card.

Sean Gilfedder, 21-6 and Dave Newton, 21-8, were Woolston A's best winners in their 10-5 success at Winwick B.

Ray Robinson's 21-8 win earned Rylands B a 7-7 draw at Monk Sports A.

A. Manuel and R. Leigh recorded 21-9 wins for Section C leaders Farmers B in the 11-3 win over King and Queen B.

Second placed Stag B had a 10-4 victory over Grange B. Tim Coyne, 21-5 and Derek Randle, 21-7, were the best winners.

Eagle A moved into third place with an 11-3 win over Winwick A. D. Birchall top scored 21-5. P. Williams took the visitors' sweep 21-3.

J. Sutcliffe, 21-5 and R. Allen, 21-7, were the best as Transport A defeated British Rail 10-4. F. Smith took the Railway's sweep, 21-4.

Brookland A's 9-5 win over Bulls Head A included Dave Hancox's 21-3 sweep winner.

King and Queen A remained top of Section A of the Monday League, following their 11-4 win at Alford A. Larry Wells took the sweep 21-10 and Paul Garratt replied 21-6.

Second placed Rylands A won 12-3 at Farmers A. Jason Lockett's 21-4 was the best card.

A 21-8 by Gary Mayall helped Grange A to a 10-4 win over Tetley A.

Tommy Johnstone, 21-5 and Joe Stone, 21-6, were St. Oswalds A's tops in the 10-4 success against Woolston A.

Second placed Crosfields won 8-7 at leaders Plough B in the top game in Section E. P. Owen won 21-6.

Burtonwood A moved into third after a 10-4 win over Alford B. T. Speakman took the sweep 21-6 and Eric Wilkinson replied with a 21-8 card.

D. Cooke's 21-7 helped Transport B to an 8-6 success over Smithys. Geoff Lee won 21-8 for the visitors.

Bank Quay A's 9-5 win against Pierpoints B included D. Peacey's 21-8 sweep winner.

Section F leaders Greenalls A had a 10-5 victory at Daten. E. Blake and B. Partington led the way. J. Campbell was the top homester 21-6.

T. Broadbent's 21-2 set Saracens B on the way to an 11-3 triumph against Pierpoints C.

Monk Sports B's 8-6 joy over Grange C included K. Rustage's 21-4 card.

R. Greaves was Rylands C's sweep winner, 21-6, in their 10-4 win against Brooklands B.

Kings Club's 9-5 win over Red Lion C included A. Lagar's 21-7 card. Mike Harney replied 21-5.

Richmonds B increased their lead at the top of Section G after a 12-2 win over Monk Sports C. W. Bate was the top winner, 21-6.

Greenalls B took second spot off Tetley C after beating them 12-2. R. Hughes and T. Clark won 21-9.

St. Josephs led the way in Section H after their 9-5 win over Stag B included H. Gillicker's 21-3 card.

Eagle B held on to second place after their 10-5 win at Woolston C. A. Rudge's 21-9 card took the sweep.
