I AM writing to show my disgust at what happened today at the Northwich Waste Tip.

Since Vale Royal sent out their paper "The Reporter" last month, I have been saving all my newspapers (clean and dry). They said they were going to issue blue bags for all waste paper and that it was to be recycled and would be worth quite a sum of money to the Council. We have 15 newspapers per week at our house, I kept them all clean, dry and folded, ready to be collected, but no blue bag arrived. So, as I had two large stacks of papers, I decided that it was best that my husband and I took the papers to the tip ourselves and put them in the paper container - but no way could we, the container was packed to capacity. I was told to throw the papers in the rubbish skip. I just couldn't believe what I was told, after all the effort of saving papers, keeping them dry and storing them, I might just as well have put them in my wheelie bin every week.
