IN view of the decision to build yet more houses instead of recreational facilities at Castle Street, am I correct in saying that the much touted Vision for Northwich is now officially dead?

If so shouldn't the sign in Baron's Quay proclaiming Northwich's exciting future now be removed?

Incidentally, I do hope that there is enough room left at the Castle Street development to erect a plaque in honour of the foresight of our local council.

Maybe it could read - DEDICATED TO THE COUNCILLORS WHO WASTED THE OPPORTUNITY TO PUT A BACKWATER ON THE MAP.
