HALTON Borough Council's Sports Development Team is inviting anyone interested in playing tennis, who lives in Runcorn, to a special 'come and try it' evening at Runcorn Hill Park on August 4.
The initiative organised by the Tennis Development forum is aimed at encouraging local people to establish a tennis club in Runcorn.
The event is open to both children and adults with the opportunity to come and have a go at tennis.
There will be a qualified LTA coach and representatives from Lane Tennis Club, Widnes, available on the evening to talk to anyone interested in helping to set up a Runcorn based tennis club.
The event will be from 6pm-9pm and people should come in suitable clothes to play a game of tennis and bring a racket if possible.
