Pavilions Cup sponsored by Bass
LAST year's winners of the Pavilions Cup, Transporter will play Burma Star in the final on Monday, August 2, kick-off 7pm at Pavilions.
Transporter had to raise their game to defeat Mond Rangers 2-1 with goals from Gary Coady and Gary Tyrell to go into the final by winning Section A of their group.
Burma Star had to play joint leaders Pavilions and after 10 minutes where reduced to 10 men but still ran out winners by 3-1 goals from Gary Jacques, Dave Whitehead and Kevin Patterson to win Section B.
Runcorn Albion recorded their first win of the competition for two years by defeating Travellers Rest 5-1 and South Liverpool also came off the foot of Group A by winning 5-0 against Union Taverners.
