LOCAL animal charity Feline Friends has been inundated with unwanted cats and kittens and is desperately looking for good homes.

Co-ordinator, Yvonne Garner said: "I can't remember us ever having as many cats and kittens as we have at the moment.

"Our foster homes are chocker-block and we really need to find genuine cat lovers to give them a good home."

The group is also appealing for donations of cat food.

"If anyone can spare a tin of food they can pop it into our charity shop or there are food baskets in Widnes Asda and Tesco in Runcorn," said Yvonne.

"Fortunately, Focus in Widnes has kindly let us have a food basket in their store, which we are really grateful for, so hopefully we will get some food donations there too."

The charity shop is at 2 Market Place, Runcorn old town and is open between 10am and 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Alternatively you can telephone 01928-578040 on these days.
