FIREFIGHTERS are urging residents to buy thermostatically controlled deep fat fryers after another chip pan blaze.
Officers were called to a terraced property on Lapwing Grove, Palacefields on Tuesday evening to find the kitchen alight.
Two adults and a child were at home at the time but were unhurt.
The kitchen units were partially burned and damaged by smoke.
Leading firefighter Ken Sharratt said: "Chip pans are now a thing of the past - they are dangerous if left unattended - and we would encourage people to replace them with thermostatically controlled deep fat fryers."
