KINGS Club astounded opponents New Alliance by conceeding the two matches and their fidelity bond, two hours before the start of their Inn Partnership Summer Darts Friday League match.

The New Alliance players were left with four points and a wasted night and more serious questions will be raised with Kings Club at this week's meeting when team entries for winter will be taken.

By complete contrast Richmonds and Gas Social played two humdingers. In the first, Richmonds missed nothing and won 5-1 with R. Watson 12, R. Muckley, 14 and P. Jones, 16, all in top form. E. Cartledge with 14 ensured Gas were not totally humiliated.

In the return A. Murphy, 10 and G. Halliwell, 12, ensured Gas did much better and despite A. Cunningham's 15 Richmonds were unable to complete a memorable double.

D. Pindard hit 14 in the first match as Greenwood beat Penketh. D. Couzens and R. Pemberton both had 15s in teh return to ensure they picked up the four points.

Red Lion and Royal Oak Branch played out two drawn matches. Steve Whatman hit 13 for the Branch in the return while I. Wrench, 15 and J. Stevenson, 12, topped for the Red Lion in the opener and Rob Fairhurst's 16 was best for the Branch.

Eddie Beddall hit a fine 11-darter for Tetley as they beat Hop Pole in the Monday League after being pushed all the way.

Brian Johnson took the last leg to win the points but J. Delooze, 18 and J. Stevenson, 19, ensured Hop Pole were always in with a chance.

Paul Dugdale won in 12 darts as Hawthorne took the spoils from their match at Gas Social A and a quality match saw New Alliance beat Red Lion.

J. Wood, 14, M. Birmingham and B. Hartley, 15 and a 16 from R. A. Rankin were all fine achievements for New Alliance but Red Lion's T. Nicholls 11, A. Peel, 16 and J. Taylor, 18, all contributed to a good night's entertainment.

In Division Two, Gas Social B were galvanised by 14 from P. J. Eyres at Chapel House but M. Lomax replied with the same round and along with D. Wortley, 15, continued to show high potential for Chapel House.

Carl Taylor's 18 was the best for Imperial but the rest were best forgotten as they were humbled by Jolly Tanner.

A. Foster, Snr, hit a 14 as King and Queen won at Seven Woods and Warrington Town continued to enhance their title prospects with a superb win at Butchers Arms.

Dog and Partridge are showing their potential as a top flight side and they won convincingly at St. Benedicts with Paul Salmon hitting an 11-darter.

Blackburne Arms are lodging strong claims for the Division Three title after they scattered Causeway to the winds despite 14 darters by Causeway's J. Warburton and J. Allen.

Howley hit their best form with a win at Penketh Conservative Club, with L. McDonnell, 12 and J. Bailey, 14, their best performers.

Peter Foster hit his best form and won the last leg for Penny Ferry at Adelphi to collect the winning bonuses.
