POLICE hope motorists might be able to unravel a late-night kidnap mystery involving a 28-year-old woman.
Detectives believe the woman, snatched from outside The Elephant pub in Out Lane, Woolton, Liverpool by three men in a green VW Polo car, was dumped near to the M6-M62 interchange at Croft.
A driver, in a dark-coloured Mercedes, came to her aid, giving her a lift to the end of the M62.
CID officers at Allerton are anxious to trace the man, in his early 40s, who is not a suspect but may be able to pinpoint where the woman was dropped off, on Sunday. He is described as having grey, short-cropped hair. Witness should call 0151 777 5165.
