DEVELOPERS Seddon have been told they must carry out a bat survey before pulling down a potentially dangerous bridge.
The bridge provides the only vehicle access over the Dane in Shaw Brook at Congleton to Mossleyvale Farm and Cottage.
Seddon says the brick bridge is on the point of collapse and aim to demolish it and replace it with a wooden bridge.
Councillors agreed to the scheme subject to conditions including the carrying out of a bat survey, which was called for by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
