WHEN John Boyle arrived at a party marking his retirement he found a surprise guest - a stuffed effigy of himself, complete with hard hat.
John, of Woolston, has retired after 37 years with the construction group Pochin Middlewich.
He joined as a quantity surveyor, progressing to the boards of Pochin (Design and Build) and Pochin (Contractors).
John, a keen gardener, received a variety of gifts including garden chairs
