CLAREMONT office design group of Warrington has announced a joint venture with Arlington Securities to provide workspace related services for its business parks across the UK.

Said Claremont director Graham Smith : "This venture is important for both parties. Arlington needs to diversify in preparation for floatation at some point, while we can provide the resources to enable the company to change from being solely a developer to a complete property services provider.

DAVID PARR of Callands is to receive the British Safety Council diploma in safety management.

David, health and safety advisor at South Trafford College, Altrincham, will receive his award later this year in London. The diploma is an internationally recognised qualification.

A NEW insurance scheme has been launched by the National Federation of Builders, which has a Warrington and District Association, as part of its campaign to protect private and commercial customers. The Federation has more than 700 members in the region and is playing a leading role in helping to protect people from rogue operators.

TONY PALMER has been appointed as a non-executive director of the board and chairman designate of Galliford PLC, the parent company of Galliford Northern, Warrington.The present chairman, Richard Miles, is retiring in October.
