YEMMI AGBEBI of Warrington has been appointed general manager for information services at Manchester Airport.
Yemmi, aged 44, is married with four children.
He has an MBA from Keele University and has been in the information technology industry for 15 years.
Yemmi heads up a department of 103 staff with a budget of £5.5m to operate, maintain and update the information services and systems for the airport's three passenger terminals, office blocks and runway.
The team is responsible for the airport's £10m computer systems.
Said Yemmi :"I am extremely pleased to join the airport at such an exciting time, as we enter the new millennium and the second runway nears completion. The growth of the airport has been phenomenal and demand for reliable computer technology will continue to be crucial as the airport gets bigger."
