MOORE and Daresbury suffered their first defeat of the season after Bunbury put them in to bat on a difficult wicket.

Holme departed for seven and Pepper quickly followed as accurate bowling kept the wickets falling at a regular rate.

Stockton managed to stay in and keep the score ticking over but it was not until the arrival of Hart that he found a resolute partner.

From 66-7 Hart batted well to score 17 runs and this turned the match around added to Jones' quickfire knock of 18 not out.

Stockton was out for 69 and it was left to the last man Topping to help Jones get the score up to a creditable 157.

Bunbury's reply got off to a fine start with 30 runs on the board after just six overs before Tweddle was caught for 46.

It was not until Hart came on and took 4-50 in 13.3 overs that Moore made any real inroads into Bunbury's batting line-up.

But Bunbury continued to make steady progress and managed to score the winning runs in the 44th over.

Moore took only five points from the match and it was a definite setback to their title hopes.
