TWO con men tricked their way into a house in Birchfield Road, Widnes, after asking for a drink. While one of the intruders distracted the householder, his accomplice sneaked into a bedroom and stole a large quantity of jewellery. Police once again remind everyone to be on their guard and always check any caller's identity.
