HEALTH bosses moved this week to reassure parents about the safety and value of the vaccine against measles, mumps and Rubella.
Mike Evans from the East Cheshire Primary Care Group said he appreciated the concerns of parents caused by recent speculation of the MMR vaccine as a possible cause for autism and Crohn's Disease.
"However there is no evidence that receiving such a vaccination increased the subsequent risk of any acute or chronic illnesses," he said.
"I want to ask all parents to help us in our efforts to ensure the health and well-being of our children by ensuring they bring their children along for vaccination."
