A WOMAN is appealing for help to find out about a march through Northwich before the war.

Lenna Bickerton, of East Avenue, Rudheath, believes the march happened in either 1926 or 1936.

Now she is hoping someone will be able to shed light on the mystery.

"The march was through Leftwich," said Lenna. "The marchers stayed at a workhouse which is now the Salt Museum - they rested there and people were very kind to them."

Lenna believes the march was on its way to London and she would like to hear from anyone who knows about it. Ring the Northwich Guardian on 01606 43333 and we will pass on the details.
