A RETIRED research scientist was found hanging in the garage of his home by his wife returning from church.
Gordon Charles Allen committed suicide at his home in Beeston Drive, Winsford, on Thursday, July 1.
An inquest at Crewe Magistrates on Friday heard how the 61-year-old, of Beeston Drive, Winsford, had a series of medical problems.
Coroner Nicholas Rheinberg said that Mr Allen's decision to take his own life was probably made on impulse. He added that Mr Allen hanged himself while the balance of his mind was unstable.
