A GROUP of Winsford infants are set to become the creative force behind a dance show which will premier in London's West End and tour Britain and Europe.
Pupils at Leaf Lane are taking part in a project called 'Breathtaking - Children as Choreographers' which gives three to six-year-olds the chance to conjure up their own routines.
The scheme has been initiated by highly acclaimed dance company Bock & Vincenzi, and the Cheshire Dance Workshop has chosen Leaf Lane to provide the ideas for the new production.
They are looking for weird and wonderful stories, the type only a child's imagination can dream up.
The company will be staying in Cheshire during the first two weeks in November, working with a group of children for an hour each day.
At the same time, the pupils will create their own performance under direction from professionals, to be shown in school at the end of the fortnight.
Leaf Lane headteacher Sue Egersdorff is delighted that her pupils have the chance to express themselves at such a young age.
She said: "The opportunity to have an internationally renowned dance company working alongside us is a chance in a lifetime."
