A MIDDLEWICH Theatre group is hoping its 10th birthday won't be its last as it stages a curtain call for new members.
Fulcrum Theatre Group is meeting at the end of the month to plan its next production and members hope to see some new faces to keep their decade of success going.
Leader John Powell said: "We've lost some members through no fault of their own, moving away with jobs or having families, like everyone does.
"We would like to continue doing three plays a year but we would be unable to continue without more members to share our workload.
"We're after all sorts of people, young, old, those who can act or people who can work a tape deck. We've got a social side and people get a lot of enjoyment. And there's nothing like hearing an audience's applause!"
The group is planning a February performance of Victory V, by local playwright Robert Meadows, which is set to include music and dance.
An evening in the drama studios of Middlewich High School is planned for October 28, starting at 8pm, where there will be opportunities to read the script and hear plans about the production, followed by cheese and wine.
John added: "We would be delighted to welcome newcomers on this occasion as well as old friends. We are looking for people interested in taking part in the play or willing to help with many practical tasks which the production will involve.
"Experience on or off stage is not important, but enthusiasm certainly is."
As Fulcrum celebrates its 10th year, John feels this landmark is the right time to inject new, talented blood.
He said: "We have had wonderful success and built up an enviable reputation and have kept on going.
"People can knock Middlewich and say there's nothing to do but if you look for it, you'll find it."
