IN REPLY to Beware of Cyclists.
I would like to point out that it is the ignorant and narrow-minded views of people such as yourself that lable a group of people for an individual's mistakes.
After reading your letter on the lack of policing in and around Northwich town centre and the dangers of cyclists within the town centre, I feel I must point out that these people on push bikes, skateboards and roller blades are mainly children and are only present after school, in the evenings and at the weekend.
They are only present in the town centre as they have nowhere else to go.
I can only presume you are a Volvo driver wrapped up in your own selfish world where you travel 100 yards in your little tin box to go to the shops - and then sit back and complain about pollution and deterioration of the planet.
Next you will be complaining about how the roads are too wide as all the cyclists and motorcyclists can get to the front of the queue at the traffic lights.
Also shortage of police? Surely this is a service which we pay for and as we all know "you get what you pay for" - unfortunately our authorities see fit to spend this money on music stands, flower beds, countless numbers of traffic lights, a miniature Stone Henge and a scrap yard eyesore that occasionally sprays water over anyone wishing to use the subway.
