A BRACE of goals from leading scorer Lee Poland put Northwich Vics Reserves on the way to a 3-1 win away to Bamber Bridge last Wednesday.
From the kick-off Vics forced Bamber Bridge back into their own half and kept them penned in for long periods.
Within the first 10 minutes the home keeper had to make good saves to stop Mike Heverin from opening the scoring.
Vics continued to press, only allowing Bridge to show in breakaways, but it was from one such breakaway that Bridge opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, the ball being chipped over the advancing Gann in the Vics goal.
Vics again had the majority of the play in the second half, and it was no surprise when Poland equalized in the 67th minute, shooting from 18 yards.
Within 10 minutes he had scored his second, sliding the ball in from close range having been put through by Buckley.
Five minutes from time Jordan Burke scored his first goal for Vics following good work by Chris Dutton, when he hit a left-foot drive just inside the far post.
Vics Reserves: Gann, Basson, Glover, Birdsey, Walsh, Boothby, Logan, Buckley, Heverin, Poland, Burke. Subs used: Dutton, Capper.
