DANE Housing completed 71.6 per cent of of its routine repairs within its target response time of 20 working days, compared with a 90 per cent target.

The company said the underachievement over the past year was due to the fact it had carried out "such a lot" of refurbishment work.

In its first year it spent £6.7 million, 77 per cent of its expenditure, on repairs and improvements.
