FIREFIGHTERS were called out to free a factory worker's finger trapped in a sewing machine needle.
The worker, a 16-year-old girl from Congleton, was working at Swan Manufacturing, Barn Road, Congleton, when the accident happened at 11.20am.
Swan Manufacturing is a firm of specialist sewing contractors, and firefighters freed the teenager's finger by releasing the needle from the sewing machine.
The worker, a machine operator, was taken to Macclesfield Hospital, where the needle was removed after the finger was frozen.
