CAMPAIGNING parents Tom and Bernadette Byrne have sent copies of video footage to councillors to support their road safety protests.
The Byrne's 12-year-old son Gerard was killed by a truck outside Oakes mill in Congleton in June as he was walking home.
His parents are now fighting to improve safety in the area outside the mill, and want parking and loading banned in Biddulph Old Road, a weight limit and a crash barrier on the pavement.
They put together video evidence to support their claims that the area near the mill is not safe for pedestrians because of the way trucks are being operated.
The video was filmed at the end of August, and is said to show two Oakes' lorries reversing out of the mill with no guidance.
They have sent 20 copies of the video to Congleton MP Ann Winterton, councillors, officers, Health and Safety Executive and local newspapers.
The issue of road safety near the mill is due to be discussed by borough councillors this month.
