A MOTHER and daughter were re-housed last week after a fire at their home in Crewe.
Heidi Williams and her daughter escaped from the blaze at their house in Badger Avenue on Saturday.
The fire began in a bedroom and caused extensive damage to the upstairs of the house meaning it could not be lived in.
West End Housing Area Manager Nick Powell said: "The wiring needs to be replaced, the roof needs repairing, the bedrooms will need re plastering.
"The damage was quite extensive and quite a lot of work needs to be done. There was no way she could continue to live there in those conditions."
Two firefighters were also treated for minor injuries after the fire.
