A WIDNES man appeared in court yesterday (Tuesday) charged with five offences of indecent assault against children.
Robert Smith, 32, of no fixed abode, was arrested in the early hours of Monday and appeared before Runcorn magistrates on Tuesday.
He faced four charges of indecent assault and one charge of gross indecency and was remanded in custody until next Tuesday.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
