A MAN is helping police with their inquiries following a TV appeal to catch a child sex attacker, police confirmed this week.
The Widnes man, in his 40s, is being questioned by detectives.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire police said: "Monday night's Granada Crimefile involved a man who had committed a series of indecent offences on children in Runcorn and Widnes.
"As a direct result of the programme, a man was arrested and is helping with inquiries at Halton."
