REGARDING the letter from an angry Mr Bill Lewis in the GUARDIAN about the free issue of the new jerseys for OAPs and children on concessionary costing for season tickets next season.
Like Mr Lewis, I am an OAP and would like a free jersey. But the fact is that the Warrington club have already pegged the cost of watching the team at Wilderspool to an acceptable level whilst other Super League clubs have raised the season ticket cost to OAPs and children.
If Mr Lewis's grandchildren travel like many youngsters do on the supporters club coaches to away matches they, like last season, will gain free entry to watch the Wolves. At the end of the day the club is not a benevolent society but like all sports clubs is first and foremost a business out to be financially safe and hopefully make some kind of a profit.
As supporters we have had enough of the club being nearly bankrupt in the past. Season tickets for OAPs and children are a very good buy.
