MOORE Utd continued their good start to the Warrington Soccer League Division One season with a 3-1 victory against Winwick.
The goal scorers were Phil Cunningham, Chris Turner and Alan Cunningham.
Grappenhall Sports kept up the pressure with a 2-1 win at Runcorn Villa with Chris Woodall and Chris Gould finding the net.
Fourth placed Sasib returned to winning ways, 5-3 at Fearnhead. Sasib's goals were scored by Steve McLoughlin, two, Shaun Corrigan, two and Ian Senior.
In the Premier Division, Haydock took advantage of the top four teams not having league games by beating Blackbrook 6-1 to move into second place on goal difference.
Halebank gained a valuable point at the expense of Owens Corning and so moved off the next to bottom spot.
Division Two leaders Penketh Utd lost their unbeaten record to Lockers 4-2. Lockers' goals came courtesy of Tony Darbyshire, two, Craig Harman and Chris Johnson.
Division Three Croft had a 3-1 win against Cadishead Sports with Danny Chadwick scoring two and Neil Shacklady the other.
Haydock Reserves continued their good start to the season with a 2-2 draw at St. Michaels Reserves. Both the visitors' goals were netted by Brian Palmer.
In Reserve Division Two, Grappenhall Sports had a 2-1 victory at Sasib with goals from Phil Coleman and John Davison. Ian Purvis scored Sasib's goal.
Irlam Catholic Club Reserves, with a hat-trick from Williamson and a goal from Mark Taylor, came out on top against Ford Reserves 4-3.
In Reserve Division Three, St. Albans never recovered from going two goals down in the first 10 minutes against Lymm Rangers Reserves, who went on to win 3-2 and so end St. Albans' 100 per cent record.
Moore Utd Reserves were also in goal scoring form with Keith Hughes and Carl Wilcox each scoring two and Mark Kerfoot, Ian Roddy and Paul Heesom finding the net in the 7-3 win at Safeway Reserves.
St. Michaels Third and Halton Borough Fourth gained their first points of the season when they played out a 2-2 draw. Paul Hughes scored his first goal for the club and Mark Sullivan got the other.
WARRINGTON Soccer League's open age team's Inter-League season starts on Tuesday when they take on the South East Lancashire League under floodlights at Victoria Park Arena, 7.45pm kick-off.
