THE curse on Wolves prop Mark Hilton struck again during England's international match in France on Wednesday night.

Injury-plagued Hilton left the field with a suspected broken arm just two minutes after entering the action from the substitutes' bench.

Wolves chief executive Peter Deakin said yesterday, Thursday, that the extent of the injury was not yet clear.

"It might be a continuation of an old break which he had plated last year or it could be a fresh one," he said.

"So it could take him anything from six weeks to three months to recover. The only saving grace is that we are still more than four months away from the start of the season.

"It's very upsetting for the lad because he has had horrific bad luck with injuries including a previous broken arm and three shoulder reconstructions.

"He was very excited about the new season and he has just signed a new contract, which shows how much faith we have in him here."

England coach John Kear said in after-match reports that Hilton had a bad break of his forearm, the same one which had been previously plated.
