A MATURE student has landed himself a dream job in Hollywood after changing his career at the age of 30.
Two years ago, Dave Cargill, who left Scotland to study at University college Warrington, felt he had reached a crossroads in his life. He sacrificed the security of working as an inspector for the Royal bank of Scotland to pursue his dream of a career in tinsel town.
He began a degree in Media and Business at Warrington and following a work experience placement at a Hollywood production company, he was offered a job there.
Dave was drawn to Warrington because of its outstanding media facilities which include the latest digital technology.
He said:"If anybody had told me three years ago that this was going to happen I would have just laughed at them."
Dave's work will be screened on satellite TV's History Channel in the new year and includes a pioneering documentary about Amazon women.
