POLICE are hunting burglars who broke into a Latchford shop and stole a child's motorbike.
Andy Dodd of Stockton Heath CID said that the burglars struck at 8.20pm on Friday, October 1, cutting open the security shutters at Greg Lamb Motorbikes on Knutsford Road.
Ignoring the bigger bikes in the showroom, the thieves made off with a child's scrambler bike.
The shop's owner, Greg Lamb, said he believed the bike had been stolen to order, and that the thieves had been into the shop earlier in the week to check it out.
But he added that the bike might be quite easy to track down - he is aware of just one other in the town.
The bike is a Malaguti RCX10 in purple and yellow, worth around £800.
Anyone with any information is asked to telephone Stockton Heath CID on 652222.
