TEAM boat racing rose from the depths to appear on the waters of Winsford Flashes on Saturday.
In a special internal event, two teams from the Enterprise Class and two from the Albacore Class helms challenged each other to six short races.
The Enterprise crew were victorious, but for Winsford Sailing Club, the important thing was seeing the excitement of speed racing return after a long absence.
Spokeswoman Helen Walsh said: "It was very much enjoyed and well supported. It was a beautiful day and there will be a return challenge next year."
The next big date in the Flashes diary is on the weekend of November 6 and 7 for the Inland Albacore Nationals, when boats from all over the country are expected to sail in.
