POLICE are hunting a robber who walked into a Winsford newsagents - and snatched £190 from the till last Sunday night.
The robber picked up a packet of biscuits and approached a woman assistant who was working at Martins, in Over Square.
The 26-year-old from the Winsford area opened the till to serve another customer.
Suddenly the robber pushed her in the chest, which knocked her back, reached in the till, grabbed the cash and ran off.
He is a white man, 6ft 3ins tall, of thin build with a grey complexion, unshaven and a dirty appearance.
The attacker had short curly dark hair going grey and had a dark blue coat.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at 7.50pm.
DS Nigel Wenham said: "We are appealing to anyone in the area of Martins or Delamere Street at the time to come forward."
The assistant, who has not been named by police, was not injured but was very shocked and upset by her ordeal.
