A VERDIN High School pupil has won the coveted Young Environmentalist of the Year Award.
Kyla Davies, 12, amazed judges with her work on green issues.
Her project included research into wildlife, plants, pets, rivers and pollution - and showed how we need to look after our environment.
She will now go to the Dorchester Hotel, in London, for a prize-giving ceremony being attended by a host of celebrities including royalty.
Kyla also wins a week-long adventure holiday.
