can lead to

road rage

HAVING just read 'Selfish Drivers Will Come Unstuck With Me' in the Guardian, I feel enraged enough to reply.

I agree all the delays at once on the A556 are most unfortunate, but the writer's attitude is nothing short of plain ignorant.

Where two lanes filter into one, during roadworks or on normal roads, the whole point is for each driver to use both roads/lanes until unable to do so. Failure to do so results in huge traffic jams of a single lane stretching from Davenham back to Morrisons Warehouse.

I am an advanced driver, covering 1,000 miles a week, and drivers, both male and female, such as Mrs Law are often the cause of frustration and ultimately road rage, because of petty actions such as 'moving over so they can't drive through me'.

Perhaps if they re-read their highway code, took an advanced course and were to belt-up in terms of attitude, the road would be a happier place.

Until then I'll just carry on enjoying the radio as I filter across from the front of lane two into lane one!
