Report by VIVIEN KANDEL
THE headteacher of Rudheath High School has praised his staff, primary schools and colleges.
Mike Hayhurst was speaking during the annual prize night held at the school last Thursday.
Mr Hayhurst said the school had continued to make significant strides.
He particularly mentioned the school being presented with Best Site Award for having the cleanest site in the county, an Investors in People Award and £70,000 worth of new information technology.
"There has also been a marked improvement in the performance of boys at examination level," he said.
"The percentage of boys gaining five A* to C grades in GCSE examinations almost matched the girls for the first time."
Former head girl Sarah Vowles (nee Forth) was guest of honour.
