SCHOOL may have become a thing of the past for departing Year 11 pupils at Hartford High School - but headteacher Nayland Southorn urged his students to hold on to their memories.
At the school's certificate evening, last Thursday, he said they would look back on the years "with great pride and fondness."
Guest speaker at the event was Joan Feenan, Cheshire County Council's school manager.
She congratulated the pupils on their achievements and presented certificates and prizes.
Mr Southorn then wished his pupils good luck for the future and invited them to revisit the school at any time.
"I hope that this school has equipped you for the exciting challenges that now lie ahead at Sir John Deane's College, Mid Cheshire College, South Cheshire College, abroad or at work - and further on into the future," he said.
"Keep us in touch with your progress and always feel free to revisit the school and staff that undoubtedly played such a major part in your young lives.
"Friendships, great memories, your favourite teacher, amusing moments, uncomfortable happenings - they'll all be there hallmarking your time at Hartford High School."
