TIM Poole rounded off a satisfying year by breaking the lap record an incredible 12 times at the Anglesey Grand Invitation event at the weekend.
The Northwich motorcyclist slashed the record at the Tycroes circuit from 48.2 seconds down to 46, as he collected six wins and a second place.
Poole, of Percy Street, said: "I wasn't aiming for them, but I had to do it to win it, so I had no choice.
"It was very hard work because one rider was on a 250cc Grand Prix bike and I'm on a converted road bike, but we did it in the end."
After finishing ninth in the British Sport Production Championships, Tim is moving into the British Supersport 600, which will see him compete in two world championship events in this country.
Poole believes this year, his first full season back after a break, has given him the momentum to power even further ahead in 2000.
He added: "The bike will be a higher standard of performance, so next year is going to be something special.
"We're 95% of the way there."
